This Privacy Policy explains how Nine Marketing Studios Ltd ("Studio Nine", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information you share with us when you visit studionine.agency or get in touch about a project. 1. Who we are
Nine Marketing Studios Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, trading as Studio Nine. Our registered office is in London, United Kingdom. For privacy queries we act as the data controller of any personal data described below.
2. Information we collect
We keep what we collect deliberately small:
- Contact form submissions. Name, email, optional company / role, project brief, approximate budget, and timeline — only what you choose to send us.
- Email correspondence. If you write to hello@studionine.agency, that correspondence is stored in our inbox.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage — page views, top referrers, approximate location (country / region), device class, and basic engagement. GA4 sets a small number of first-party cookies (e.g.
_ga,_ga_*) and sends a truncated IP and pseudonymous client identifier to Google. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, or remarketing. Data is processed by Google LLC, which may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension. - Strictly necessary cookies. A single first-party cookie/localStorage flag remembers your cookie-banner choice so we don't keep showing it.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and (if relevant) scope a project together.
- To send you proposals or follow-ups for an active or recent conversation.
- To understand which pages of the site are useful and which aren't.
We do not sell your data. We do not run programmatic ads. We do not share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — replying to enquiries you initiated; running aggregate analytics on our own site to understand which pages perform.
- Consent — where required, for analytics and similar non-essential cookies (Google Analytics). You can decline via the banner or your browser settings.
- Contract — once we're working together on a project.
5. Where your data lives
Form submissions are emailed to our Gmail-hosted inbox. The site itself is served by Vercel. Analytics events are processed by Google LLC via Google Analytics 4. All three are reputable processors with their own published privacy practices. Data may be processed inside or outside the UK and the EEA under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and, for Google, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension).
6. How long we keep it
Contact-form correspondence: kept while it's relevant to a live or recent conversation, then archived or deleted on request. Analytics: aggregated, no personal data retained.
7. Your rights
You have rights under UK GDPR to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Email hello@studionine.agency and we'll respond inside 30 days. If you believe we've mishandled your data, you can also complain to the UK ICO at ico.org.uk.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material updates we'll flag it in a banner on the site for a reasonable period.
